APOTEC's Workshop regarding tax incentives

The local branch of the APOTEC – The Portuguese Chartered Accountants Association carried out, on the 29th of October, a training session dedicated to available tax incentives for companies. An event designed to inform and to promote the discussion of the main aspects connected to the existing fiscal framework in Portugal, and how it may allow companies to compete more effectively in the international markets.

During the session, which was characterized by a very lively debate around the issues and advantages of Madeira’s International Business Centre, José Araújo, the APOTEC’s guest speaker, underlined that the IBC of Madeira is a “well regulated business centre” and for that reason it is “an alternative to offshore centres” namely for investors whishing to expand their businesses abroad.
